When you download the software, you must download the correct version of MDT. The MDT2009-Disc1.zip and MDT2009-Disc2.zip downloads are designed to look for a type of 'Inventor" installed on your computer. The files are named the same but are actually different. For example, if you just download the first MDT2009-Disk1.zip, you will not know if it works with Autodesk Product Design Suite/Inventor 2012 or with AutoCAD Inventor Tooling Suite 2011/2010.
Catfish prices in the Mekong Delta surged by 20 percent at the end of April, leaving Vietnamese farmers and traders short of fish. The price topped VND19,000 (US$ 1.11) per kilo on 24 April and was expected to rise after hovering around VND14,000 (US$ 0.80) for the previous months. However, most catfish breeders in the region cannot take advantage of the higher prices because they have fewer fish left in their cages. Some provinces, such as An Giang Province in Viet Nam, which is the largest catfish farming province in the country, are only producing 10 percent of the fish they produced last year, leaving many farmers facing increased debt. Sales are falling short of processors' needs because farmers are deliberately holding back their product, waiting for the next price rise. The main force behind the in crease in price rise for catfish is said to be increased demand from the Russian, Middle Eastern and Eastern European Markets. Viet Nam police seize over 35 tons of illegal blowfish Thannien News, 24 April 2009 Police in the Vietnamese Mekong Delta province of Kien Giang have seized over 35 tons of illegally caught blowfish since February and admit they are having trouble controlling the racket in the poinsonous but endangered species. Le Thanh Liem, chief inspector of the provincial Health Department, said it was difficult to crack down on the racket with a coastline that is more than 200 kilometers long. Catching selling and processing of blowfish is illegal in several Vietnamese localities, including Kien Giang and Ho Chi Minh City. Chief inspector Liem said part of the problem was that the current fines of up to tens of millions of dong were not enough of a deterrent to the smugglers who make huge profits from poaching the fish. Blowfish, which live in both fresh and salt water, are the second most poisonous vertebrate in the world after the golden poison frog. The skin and certain internal organs are fatal to humans but the meat is considered a delicacy. Several people in Viet Nam have died as a result of eating the fish in recent months. 200,000 endangered carp bred and released in the Mekong MRC, 22 April 2009
Although stingray injuries have always been frequent in the Republic of Djibouti, it was not until July 2008 that the Bouffard Hospital developed a standardised management protocol. The purpose of this report is to describe that protocol and evaluate its impact on the outcome of stingray injuries based on a prospective study for the period between July 2008 and July 2009. During the study period, 12 stingray stings were treated. The treatment protocol that is based on a multidisciplinary approach involving the intensivist, anaesthesiologist, and surgeon achieved wound healing within one month. This outcome contrasts with previous publications that have generally described longer healing times with frequent infectious complications.
Sixty years after the paper 'The Monte Carlo method' by N Metropolis and S Ulam in The Journal of the American Statistical Association (Metropolis and Ulam 1949), use of the most accurate algorithm for computer modelling of radiotherapy linear accelerators, radiation detectors and three dimensional patient dose was discussed in Wales (UK). The Second European Workshop on Monte Carlo Treatment Planning (MCTP2009) was held at the National Museum of Wales in Cardiff. The event, organized by Velindre NHS Trust, Cardiff University and Cancer Research Wales, lasted two and a half days, during which leading experts and contributing authors presented and discussed the latest advances in the field of Monte Carlo treatment planning (MCTP). MCTP2009 was highly successful, judging from the number of participants which was in excess of 140. Of the attendees, 24% came from the UK, 46% from the rest of Europe, 12% from North America and 18% from the rest of the World. Fifty-three oral presentations and 24 posters were delivered in a total of 12 scientific sessions. MCTP2009 follows the success of previous similar initiatives (Verhaegen and Seuntjens 2005, Reynaert 2007, Verhaegen and Seuntjens 2008), and confirms the high level of interest in Monte Carlo technology for radiotherapy treatment planning. The 13 articles selected for this special section (following Physics in Medicine and Biology's usual rigorous peer-review procedure) give a good picture of the high quality of the work presented at MCTP2009. The book of abstracts can be downloaded from I wish to thank the IOP Medical Physics and Computational Physics Groups for their financial support, Elekta Ltd and Dosisoft for sponsoring MCTP2009, and leading manufacturers such as BrainLab, Nucletron and Varian for showcasing their latest MC-based radiotherapy solutions during a dedicated technical session. I am also very grateful to the eight invited speakers who kindly accepted to give keynote 2b1af7f3a8
