A small country girl finds a mysterious egg in a field and and brings it to her town Now a giant nine-meters monster rises from the lake causing havoc just to find her egg. The Lake, also known as บึงกาฬ or Bueng Kan in Thai, is directed by Thai filmmaker Lee Thongkham, director of the films Tears of Remedy, The Last One, and The Maid previously, plus a number of shorts and some TV work. No screenplay credited is available yet. Featuring a monster designed by concept artist Jordu Schell (Starship Troopers, Cloverfield, The Thing, The Mist, Feast, Avatar, Men in Black, Planet of the Apes, The Cabin in the Woods, Predators). I love giant monster movies, so I was excited about this new one from Thailand. People around a Thai lake start finding giant eggs and missing animals during a particularly rainy season, and suddenly giant monsters emerge and start attacking.

The lake elevation data below come from the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation (USBR), which manages Lake Mead, Lake Powell, and other portions of the Colorado River watershed. As of July 18, 2022, the water elevation at the Hoover Dam was 1041.30 feet (317.4 meters) above sea level; the water elevation at the end of July 2000 (around the time of the Landsat 7 image above) was 1199.97 feet (341 meters). Lake levels at the dam should stay above 1000 feet to continue operating hydropower turbines at normal levels.
For experienced cyclists looking for more of a challenge, the 40- and 62-mile courses include hilly extensions north of the lake, through the towns of Sparta and Ogdensburg. They feature their own awesome views, as you travel over streams, around forested preserves, and through town centers.
Paddle around the lake on a 2.5-mile course. Push off and experience the peaceful beauty of Lake Hopatcong. The course will be marked and patrolled for a safe and fun day of paddling. Participants may use their own kayaks/paddleboards/canoes at their own risk. Life jackets are required for all paddling participants. Tandem kayaks are welcome, however, each participant must be registered.

The depth of drawdown listed above is not from the current level but is from the normal full pond level. Due to changing ice and hydrologic conditions, these levels can vary throughout the winter. Since the hydrologic conditions and recreational uses of these water bodies vary, the degree and date of the start of drawdown for each lake vary and could be affected by the amount of rainfall during the period. In addition, the actual date at which the drawdown will begin could vary by a few days based on operational constraints. However, at three dams, the drawdowns will be initiated or accelerated on a specific Saturday in October to provide recreational opportunities for canoeists and kayakers in the rivers below these dams. The schedule for these recreational opportunities is as follows:
Generally, lake levels are allowed to return to the normal full pond level in the spring. However, the drawdowns of Opechee and Winnisquam Lakes, which occur on a two-year interval, last only approximately two weeks. This year, the lowering of Opechee Lake will begin on October 10, and it will likely take two days to pass the water from Opechee Lake downstream through Winnisquam Lake. Therefore, the level of Winnisquam Lake is not expected to drop noticeably until October 15. On October 24 flows at Lakeport Dam will be increased to refill Opechee Lake, and the level of Winnisquam Lake should begin to rise late in the day on October 25.
Not included in this schedule is Lake Winnipesaukee. Unlike the other lakes in this schedule, Lake Winnipesaukee is not purposely drawn down in the fall. Instead, in the fall after Columbus Day, the releases from Lakeport Dam are reduced from a normal minimum of 250 cubic feet per second (cfs) to a flow between 30 and 50 cfs for a period of up to two weeks to allow for maintenance of the dams and hydropower facilities on the Winnipesaukee River. The flow of 30 to 50 cfs is the minimum flow needed to maintain the downstream aquatic life during this period. This year the reduction will be begun on October 10.
The NH Fish and Game Department recommends that, if special drawdowns are to be conducted for the purposes of repairing property such as retaining walls or private boat ramps, they occur only once in every 5 years. If shoreland property owners wish to have a special drawdown conducted on their lake, please contact the NHDES Dam Bureau immediately after receiving all permits required for such work, so that the drawdown can be coordinated with any other work proposed on the same water body. In this way, the number of special drawdowns can be limited.
In 1986, the lake was at a record high and covered approximately 2,300 square miles and contained 30 million acre-feet of water (an acre-foot is the amount of water necessary to cover 1 acre of land with water 1 foot in depth or about 326,000 gallons).
On July 3, 2022, the level of Great Salt Lake dropped below the October 2021 historic low elevation. This average daily surface water elevation, 4,190.1 feet, was measured at USGS station 10010000, located on the southern end of the lake and is associated with a data record dating back to 1847.
BE CAREFUL: Monitoring at Utah Lake on 10/17 indicated high levels of toxin were present at some areas in the waterbody. Satellite imagery from 11/5 indicates harmful algae may still be present along shorelines, in marinas, and in the southern part of the lake.
BE CAREFUL: Algal blooms have been observed at sites throughout the lake. This algae may be producing dangerous toxins. Sampling at Lincoln Marina on 6/27 detected high concentrations of toxin-producing algae (370,000 cells/mL) and dangerous levels of toxins (123 ug/L of microcystin). Sampling on 6/22 at American Fork Marina, Lindon Marina, and Utah Lake State Park showed elevated algal cell concentrations, but low concentrations of toxin-producing algae.
BE CAREFUL: Algal blooms have been observed at sites throughout the lake. This algae may be producing dangerous toxins. Sampling at Lincoln Marina on 6/22 detected toxin-producing algae at an elevated concentration (74,000 cells/mL) and low levels of toxins (1.4 ug/L). Sampling at American Fork Marina, Lindon Marina, and Utah Lake State Park showed elevated algal cell concentrations, but low concentrations of toxin-producing algae.
BE CAREFUL: Harmful algal blooms have been observed at sites throughout the lake. This algae may be producing dangerous toxins. Great Salt Lake is the largest saline lake in the Western Hemisphere and the eighth largest in the world. The ecology of the lake is an extraordinary example of the rich web of relationships between people, land, water, food and survival. The 1,700 square miles of various water environments, remote islands and shorelines, with 360,000 acres of wetlands, provide habitat for plants, brine shrimp, reptiles, amphibians, mammals, shorebirds and waterfowl. Birds rely on the lake, a critical link in the Pacific Flyway between North and South America. Every year 10 million birds from 338 different species come to rest, eat and breed during migrations of a thousand miles or more. With the decline of other lakes, Great Salt Lake is increasingly important to these species.
Due to its shallowness (an average of 14 feet deep and a maximum of 35 feet deep), the water level can fall dramatically during dry years and rise during wet years. When snowpack melts in the spring, the lake usually rises about 2 feet. In years with above-average snowpack, it can go up 3 to 4 feet. In 2022 and 2021, the elevation only went up about 1 foot because of the poor snowpack. 59ce067264
