I tried to install Windows 7 on my desktop PC but I was not successful. Here is what I did:

Downloaded Windows 7 from Microsoft site.

Downloaded ISO image from Microsoft site.

Burned ISO image to disc.

Inserted disc into PC and PC is not booting. No message at all and also LED on disc flash doesn’t get switched on.

I was having trouble installing and the screen kept coming up with the message “you may have a problem with the installation cd or you may not have enough memory to run the installation”? I followed the instructions and I get the same problem.

Hi… I have a laptop with windows 7 64 bit. I have the windows 7 download for 64 bit in the same exact spot as the 32 bit download. I downloaded both the 32 and 64 bit windows 7 and created a bootable flash drive. When I plug it in it boots then shuts off and the LED of the flash drive doesn’t light up. I am assuming that it doesn’t recognize the flash drive. What should I do next, because I am really confused. I don’t want to have to keep downloading. I have tried what someone suggested on another site and it didn’t work either. I am not sure what to do and if I should try the 32 or 64 bit.

Hi, I am installing windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit on my computer. I downloaded the isos for both 32 and 64 bit and burned them both to a disc. After I restart my computer it says “your computer is running in low graphics mode, and it is not able to load the necessary drivers for your video card”. I was wondering if I should try the 32bit disc first. Also, I have an HP Pavilion dv9000 series computer. TIA!

You can download the 64bit version of Windows 7 from Microsoft. The file you download will be in the.ISO file format. You need to burn it to a DVD or create a bootable USB flash drive using it. Once you have created any of them you can proceed ahead to install windows 7 on your PC.
